A shared pause — just as you are.
This is an invitation to slow down for a few minutes — alongside others — in a way that supports your body, not your willpower.
There is nothing you need to do well.
There is nothing to achieve.
What This Is
This is a short, written pause — something to read slowly, then sit with.
You can think of it as a moment of collective stillness, offered in words.
You don’t need to meditate.
You don’t need to clear your mind.
You don’t need to feel calm.
How to Use This Pause
If it feels supportive:
-
read the words below once or twice
-
then stop reading
-
allow a few minutes of stillness
You may close your eyes or keep them open.
You may sit, lie down, or remain where you are.
There is no correct posture.
The Pause
Take a moment to notice where your body is.
Notice the weight of yourself being held — by the floor, the chair, the ground.
You don’t need to change your breath.
Just notice that it’s already happening. If your mind moves, that’s okay.
Let it move. For the next few minutes, there is nothing else required of you.
Others are pausing too — in their own places, in their own ways.
Let that be enough.
After the Pause
When you’re ready, gently return to your day.
There’s no need to reflect or interpret what happened.
The pause does its work quietly.
A Gentle Reminder
This practice is not about self-improvement.
It’s about offering your body a moment of safety.
From safety, clarity emerges on its own.
Thank you for pausing — with yourself, and with others.
The Sunday Pause
Some of us choose to pause together on Sunday evenings.
Each week, at 8:00 pm local time, you’re welcome to take a few minutes to slow down — wherever you are, and in whatever way feels right.
There is nothing to follow and nothing to complete.
This is not an event or a session.
It’s simply a time that has been named.
You may sit quietly, notice your breath, rest your hands on your body, or do nothing at all.
You’re welcome to join when it feels supportive.
You’re equally welcome to let it pass.
Both are enough.
The pause is here — whenever you need it.
